<div class="IPBDescription">Grey Space, Oooh...</div> Yeah, so I was bored last night and decided I'd try my luck at making a theme for <a href='http://www.litestep.net/' target='_blank'>Litestep</a>. This is about 4-5 minutes work, I currently just have the general layout and an idea for the Geek Amp area. Comments and/or Ideas?

    As far as I know, StyleXP just changes the look of your taskbar, windows, and such, while LiteStep can completely makeover your interface, doing everything StyleXP can, plus getting totally rid of the taskbar, allowing you to create any futuristic button based design you can think of, like menus that extend from the sides of your desktop, making it not look at all like Windows.

    So it's like StyleXP in a way, because it changes your UI graphics, but it is much more powerful.

    According to bijiy in the lunixmonster forums...

    <!--QuoteBegin-Bijiy @ the Lunixmonster forums+--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> (Bijiy @ the Lunixmonster forums)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> Well anyways, Litestep is a custom shell for windows. Its not like style xp, windows blinds, etc. because those only "theme" the original shell. Litestep is an entirely different shell, which allows you to do some nifty things to themes for it. Best of all it's free ware.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Okay, I've made an example of what it might look like when its done. Still needs work though. I've decided to have four virtual desktops and to have all the tasks and such accessed in the right click menu.

    <img src='http://img33.photobucket.com/albums/v101/Bijiy/example.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    The dividers in the Geek Amp and time/date/task tray areas are irking me and I think I'll redo them. But, heh...

    I'm gonna make it so that when you click on something it cycles between time, date, and cpu/net. What that "something" is, I haven't yet found that out myself... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    ivew been using litestep for quite a while now, i like your theme, but it doesnt seem to stick out very much. it needs something that other themes dont have. ithink maybe youll need to get a color changer in (those are always secksi) a choice to have top or bottom, and na choice to view desktop items or not...i d/led the excalibur theme a while back modded it all to hell with new modules and stuff and turned out quite well... keep up the good work, just remember, accessability > style.

    edit: oh and background really makes the whole theme... if you need a custom one with a theme to it, im sure someone here in the art froums can help. not saying you cant do it your self, just never seen any of your work...

    Hrrrmmm I think this might be what I've been searching for.

    Several months ago, someone posted some awesome looking Windows backgrounds for NS. One was taken from hera I think, but it had computer banks and stuff, and I think some of it was actually interactive.

    Anyway, at the time I didnt bother to get them, but now I desperate for them. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about, and if so - is it a litestep background that I'm after? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.
