NS Jumped update
Work on my trickjumping movie has been progressing really well, and I hope to have a small trailer for you done soon. I'm just about 50% finished with the editing, and I just need to decide on the music for the last part before I finish things up. The full movie should be done by early / mid september.
I've also created a small site for updates regarding the movie. It's not very pretty, or very advanced, but at least it works. Check it out here: <a href='http://home.no.net/spamking/productions/' target='_blank'>http://home.no.net/spamking/productions/</a>
Also: Do not under any circumstances, I repeat: any circumstances, download the first teaser I made, as it is simply horribly, horribly bad. Just. Don't. Do. It.
hehe, perhaps you wont believe it but im really seeing forward to your video <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
and to be honest, i already have the first teaser and i will keep it like every other ns-movie out there <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> amd if you call that bad im relly getting excited
you say 50 % are finished, do you approximately know how long the rest might take? even if you can just tell how many months <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Ya im looking foarword to see that movie. And about the site its realy nice. I hope you gone finish that movie quick <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Current estimate for release is mid-september, but I won't promise anything. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

We have an IRC channel now that's open for everyone. Progress updates will be posted regularly, and questions about the movie will be answered if possible. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
#monan on quakenet (just open a different server window in your irc client if you're already on a different network). Hope to see you there soon!
Current release estimate: End of September.
I'm probably going to release parts of the intro as sort of a trailer later this week, so stay tuned.
you can't tell me no one has seen the NS Gone Wild video produced by Capt. Ahab and the [SoM]server? You can find it still I think at fileplanet but here's a link to another site. <a href='http://rattrap.org/ns/files/nsgonewild.zip' target='_blank'>NS GONE WILD!</a>
you'll need divx to watch it
ps [SoM] will be in the works soon to make another!!
Here's a link to a movie that I found and uploaded to my site some time ago... it's a movie rendition of the "Nublets" cereal ad. Not the best, but its still funny.
Cant remember who made it, but it definitely wasnt me.
<a href='http://www.freewebs.com/hivemind/Nublets.zip' target='_blank'>Nublets</a> (right click on it then save target as)
and i cant even start it <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif' /><!--endemo-->
You can find a faster download of the Boondock Marines video at <a href='http://www.awakeyet.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.awakeyet.com/</a> the website of one of the original creators, D'Artagnan. Here's a direct link for the impatient ones <a href='http://www.shardmedia.com/~awakeyet/media/boondock_marines.zip' target='_blank'>http://www.shardmedia.com/~awakeyet/media/...ock_marines.zip</a> but make sure to check out Skulk Lake in his 'media' section as well, certainly worth a watch. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

<s>Four</s> Five NS videos, to my knowledge, appeared during the period when this website was down.
One of them is the Terror frag video, which was already posted <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=86421' target='_blank'>here</a> on this forum.
Another is a frag video of the Reflect clan. It can be found <a href='http://own-age.com/vids/video.aspx?id=3250' target='_blank'>here</a>.
A third is a 2.0-era frag video from Exigent. Apparently it was made back in 2.0 but then forgotten. A direct download link to it is <a href='http://www.team-exigent.net/teamexigent-xvid.rar' target='_blank'>here</a>.
Last is another 2.0-era video of two of the top European clans at the time, made by Zaiko. It is <a href='http://www.own-age.com/vids/video.aspx?id=3518' target='_blank'>here</a>.
Edit: Forgot about the video from the Knife clan, which can be found <a href='http://www.ns-fr.com/comments.php?nid=305' target='_blank'>here</a> (just click the download link if you don't know French).

I learned of them from the <a href='http://forums.caleague.com/index.php?showforum=13' target='_blank'>CAL-NS forums</a>, <a href='http://esports.ampednews.com/?page=forums&fid=15' target='_blank'>Amped NS forums</a>, and clan IRC channels.

After moving around in seeming slow motion for a while, I've finally finished the trailer to the sequel to NS Jumped, and I dare say I'm pretty pleased with the result. Snippet from the readme:
<i>This is the trailer for the sequel to Natural-Selection Jumped, a trickjumping movie featuring jumps from the popular Half-Life mod Natural-Selection. It shows parts of some of the jumps we intend to show in the full movie, as well as the quality we expect to achieve. We've kept the good parts from NS Jumped, and improved on the bad parts, and hope this will be an even more enjoyable movie (and trailer).</i>
<a href='http://www.knifegaming.com/index.php?id=monan/media' target='_blank'>More information about the movie can be found here.</a>
<a href='http://www.own-age.com/vids/video.aspx?id=3653' target='_blank'>own-age.com profile for the movie here.</a>
<a href='http://www.own-age.com/vids/mirrors.aspx?id=3653&dlmirror=4753' target='_blank'>Direct download link here.</a>
It's without a doubt my most solid editing work yet, even though it's just a trailer.
I have made a tutorial for all ppl out there that want to make movie for any HL mod, natural-selection for example.
This tutorial will guide you through all steps how to get a demo to avi.
I hope you will enjoy it and start doing movies <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Video I made of the GameArena final ( r18 vs boost ). It's not really that great I basically just made it so you can watch it and get the best bits without having to watch the demo.
