<div class="IPBDescription">Advent Children - Theater</div> reaaaaly considering installing FF7 again and going through it before Advent children arrives. ... i'm so psyched.
Althought Sephiroth looks weird in the trialer. I hope they don't do to this what they did to the Final Fantasy series (look what it's about now... you call a pop star epic?).
FF 7 was the only game in the series I ever played. I enjoyed it immensely. If I could find it anywhere I would buy it. I'll probably go and see the movie.

Well just recently i got my FFVII CD1 back, and yes, i've started again. Right now my g/f is playing it in the background. Still in Midgar however. This was one of the best games I have ever played. I remember when I played it the first time, it was my first and only Final Fantasy game that I have ever played.
Unfortunately, I don't own it <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->. I never finished the game, I don't know why, the two times I've played it I got to the crater and Sephiroth, but I have yet to beat him. I had never played the game before.. So I went out and brought it.. Its a really good game so far. BTW You can still buy it from the squaresoft website.

I've played 1 thru 8. Out of all of them, VII probably ranks as the best, with FFIIIj probably close behind (probably competing with VI). I don't care that it wasn't "typical fantasy", hell, the whole grittyness and doomed world aspect of it probably made me like it so much.
Though you can't beat FFV.

Sorry to say so, but I kinda lost interest in the FF games after their move to 3D. Maybe I'm hopelessly puristical, but I kinda lost interest after FF6, which I'll have to call a lot more 'gritty' than both VII and VIII.

No can match my craving for FF7. After spending 5 years with friends in the FF7 Trivia AOL chat room. Constantly quizzing each other on the game, talking about it. Yeah that game is 100% rocks your socks. People who think this game either have no eyes, or have never really played the game.
I give it the "Only game which I cared that a character died in" Award.
I heard from a friend that Thay are remaking Final Fantasy 7 for the PS2 or 3 or whatever is out in the next few years. It's just the visuals that are being redone, the story will stay the same.

FFVIII is my favorite so far. I thoroughly enjoyed FFX however, maybe it was the voice-acting or maybe it was because it was my first PS2 Game. (er, second, MGS2 was my first...) anyway.

7 has an awesome story and I love the materia system. I also used to know so many secrets (like cheating at the Chocobo races, heh, hold R1 and R2 for extra stamina, I think it was). Then you get other little secrets (like on the train tracks by Corel, you hear chirping when you run past a cliff, if you walk into the mountain you'll enter a special cave with some stuff).
Still missing 1 E-skill though...they were a PITA to get, heh. How do they expect you to find every single one you need to get from charming enemies (Big Guard, Beta and White Wind rock).
Then, a lot of people complained about the graphics - except they were supposed to have been inspired by anime (you can tell much easier during FMVs). I think they could have done a little better job with them, though.
FF8 had a good story...but the junctioning system was total crap. That was the worst magic system ever. "Hey, if I cas magic my stats go down, let me get right on that!" Then you had to spend hours drawing the magic out and....blech.
Magic from materia, magic from job skills, magic from enemies and magic from levels are all viable, but they go with some messed up crap system....pfffft.
Not sure if I want to ruin my cool love of FF7, if the movie is bad. They'll probably ressurect people and throw talking wolf-beast things all over. Sure, the ending could use a little work, but hey, it doesn't warrant a full movie.

Yea ff7 I remeber find out all the things like that infin item cheat with the double item matrial and all 3 (or 6) master matrials of magic/summon/and that yellow one. You know that place in golden sauser that one game where you have to do like rock paper scissors (Except the computer cheats) has anyone ever beaten the 4th guy on it?
ffx international is the best by far from a hardcore pov, vii is the most annoying to stat max (a man can only morph so many times before losing his mind)
