<div class="IPBDescription">I needs must learn JAVA!</div> Ok I have a rudimentary knowledge of programming in so far as I know C++ to a good extent. (I also know HTML but that is nowhere near the same somehow.) Anyway I was wondering if anyone here knew of any good sites to learn JAVA or had a lesson to impart upon me.

I will be brutally honest, I desperately need to learn as much java as possible for reasons that shall remain undisclosed. Would anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction? I know a few good sites, but they start off in the more complicated nether regions of the language, I need to know some of the basics.

Thanks for your time;

    Don't learn Java, stick with C++.
    If you really need to learn Java, I have a good compiler for you. Try <a href='http://www.jcreator.com/' target='_blank'>JCreator</a>, there should be a free version, too.

    Haha, <i>somebody's</i> got an AP Java test that they didn't study for. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I have the same test btw. Didn't your teacher/professor give you guys the Marine Biology Case Study and Review Test packets?

    Bah, I've been found. No our teacher just printed some study materials off a week ago. I have been furiously studying... ok not so much. But that was because I didn't think I was <b>expected</b> to take the test. Seems that I am, according to my parents. Now thanks to lack of preparation on my part, and on my teacher's part (this was the same guy with the Parasite Eve incident, tells you something about him) combined with the fact that I have to take the AP Test against my will, yes, I want to do well.

    I understand Java to a degree, object oriented module stuff all clicks in my head, but I don't know the <i>terminology</i> in which to use. If I just had a big table full of terms, I would be fine.

    Thank god the AP test was still in C++ when I took it, I slacked all year, only really taking it so I could get out of class early. Still got a 4/5 on it, kinda made me wish I did study and get that 5...
