Mp_serverops Only Works On Serverstart

hi!
i configured our new ns linux-server so that he recognizes me as a serverOP.
then i started the server using my script and then, joined the server.
i looked at the scoreboard and was really happy to see this cute serverOP icon next to my name. but it disappears on the first mapchange...

why does this happen? is this a known bug? i know servers wehre it works...
how can i prevent this to happen?

erm the server was just installed, so metamod or any 3rd party programme doesnt run on it...
just the ns server...

Its a bug. The only way I know to fix it is this plugin. (Metamod)

I believe there is an AMX version as well on <a href='http://www.modns.org' target='_blank'>www.modns.org</a>
