Swapping Textures During Animation

Um how do you do it? For example, that edis guy's c4 where the timer changes textures. Do you have to make a duplicate of a certain part of the model, but with a different texture, and do a rescale to 0 on the first frame & rescale it back?

You can't rescale things very easily in HL I'm afraid, but when I've done things like this in the past I've just flipped the polys I wanted to hide (for example my 31-poly lmg, though the anim speed was slower so you saw the parts move). I suppose you could also do it be having the parts slightly behind the body of the model, and making them move through in front of the model's surface when you want them.
