I swear this has been answered at least 3 times. All phase gates are connected; you go through them in series, one after the other.

for me a more in depth question, after you walk onto the debarkation pad, where do you appear relative to the destination pad? On it? Next to it?
if on it, what is the delay till you phase to the next one?

You appear on it, so you can skip to multiple phase locations. There is about a 3 second time to next warp, easily enough to get off of it.
