<div class="IPBDescription">PC Zone trial</div> Just picked up PC Zone today for the HL2 info and on the DVD came the full client for EVE Online and a key for a 3 day free trial. When i signed up for the trial on the website it said my trial was for 7 days and not 3. So i thought, ok, i'll try have some fun with this.
So i'm just wondering, is there anyone else out there who's subscribed to EVE Online, or anyone that's picked up the trial from PC Zone?

I must say, it's probably the most stylish and well designed games i've ever played. It has sexy graphics and the whole look and feel oozes sexiness.

I would also like to remind everyone that the sheiva patch is due in the next couple of months and it will bring player BUILDABLE stations/outposts.
My main character Rellix is sort of a jack of all trades Minmatar.
Anyway I think a list of ingame names would be a good idea so Ill edit my first post and this one to add them.

The main problem with EVE is that you eventually realise that there isn't much to do, really. Mining makes money, so does trading, and fighting. Mining = sitting still and shooting an asteroid. Fighting = Sitting still and shooting another ship. Trading = Trying to beat other people to one station, while dodging pirates. Corporations = doing the same thing, only with more people and usually paying taxes.
It's a great game if you've got the patience, though.

The tax system doesnt actualy work, and corporations are waring over the outer rim so the political map changes all the time. Personaly i wouldnt class EVE as a spaceship game like tthingy its more politcal and economical management.

It's a s hame I'm already selling my soul to (possibly) get CoH by the end of June. ;_;

I would try this, but from what I've heard and read- it lacks in every department but the graphics. And not just "Misunderstood to the general public", but just plain lacks.
That's how the game goes, not that guys fault THAT HE WAS STRONGER AND PREPARED FOR BATTLE. lol
Anyways, I am playing this game. I'm on my friend's acct right now. I'm just waiting until I get my job hooked up to activate my own. Not that bad really seen as I can mine 16 million isk ark in under an hour.

Well if you try to climb the ship ladder too fast, a bigger fish will get you, especialy in the otter rim.
Oh and i was in the beta too, it has improved considrably, the phase 2 hardware upgrade is due in the next month or two also raising the max player limit to around 20k.

EDIT* : It seemes its been uped to a 7 day trial!
If you came mining with me for instance you could jump to the top frigite in about 30mins if you had the skills which you wont.
But if you focus your character you can get Pvping in a few days tops.

Got a second ship, now I just need to wait a few hours while I get my skill levels up to a point where I can fly it. In that time, I think sleep is the order of the day. Does anyone have any suggestions for a budding miner (Ive got a new ship with a bigger hold, more bays, and a Mining 1 laser)?
The game is beautiful. Jaw-droppingly, pant-wettingly beautiful. I thought the screenshots looked nice, but jesus. It oozes style.

Maybe once Ive got a little more experience. Only played it for about 5 hours, and most of that was doing not much at all.
