I think that ns should have enforced minimum rate, cl_updaterate and cl_cmdrate values. If you set all these very low, you will be _VERY_ hard to kill as a skulks, especially with shotgun.
Well now i take my hangun everytime, since i just need skill...it works wonders on me! I'm definetly owning 75 percent of matches and i still can't have confidence in Lmg. Was the Lmg spray in 2.0 smaller? Or just because or new skulk hit box? In 2.0 my lastinv weapon was knife so i could slash at the last minute, now my lastinv is Lmg. And now when i see celerity skulk i shot behind him.
NS has some problems which make luck a small factor but a good player is still many times more effective than a lucky one.
The variation from 50-3 to 2 and 18 is probably more due to the different play of your opponents than any fluctuation in your skill. My point being proven by the fact that you can play any active delta team player and his score won't fluctuate very much under steady conditions.
except for when you're a skulk squishy... skulking is so very random vs the best marines <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I can't remember the exact cvar, but there were a few that altered the max speed the skulk could move in a strafe. Steam now locks these at some set value, so changing them accomplishes nothing.
Just hold crouch, jump a lot, and master leap-bites. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Ya but thats because skulking is the most skill demanding thing in the game and 2 seconds in timing is the difference between a shotty in the face and 2 kills.

mmmmm what you see and what actually happens is not always the same, given the nature of the half-life netcode.
