Right or wrong?
I was wondering what everybody thinks on the subject of minors having sex with adults. I'm not talking about a 40-year old raping an 8-year old, the situation is this:
A 22-year old man has a girlfriend who is 16, turning 17 in a few weeks. They're in a loving relationship, they've been together for 2 years and they're still going strong. They tell each other everything and neither has ever cheated on the other.
They haven't had sex up until now, but they've "fooled around" a few times. (Making out, masturbating around each other, etc...) They want to have sex, though. They're both entirely for the idea, they're both willing to take it slowly and pleasure each other and enjoy each other.
My question is: Do you think it's wrong for them to have sex? Even if they've taken steps to prevent pregnancy (Birth control pills and condoms) and they take it slowly so that they don't hurt each other? Even if they're both physically, mentally and emotionally ready for it? Why?
Here's an article about adult-child sex. It's 2 years old, but it's still applicable.
PLEASE NOTE: I want you to leave religion out of this. I don't want to hear that it's a sin in your religion to have sex without being married or with someone who is under 18, I want to hear what your opinion would be WITHOUT religion involved.
