<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->The player takes part in an epic storyline spanning centuries as a large expedition discovers and explores several strange, dangerous worlds called Psychospheres. The resultant style of gameplay is potentially innovative, taking some standard aspects of the strategy genre and building in a strong emphasis on territorial control before adding in a core focus on terraforming that goes far beyond the usual construction of bases and buildings. You modify the terrain not only to protect and expand your holdings, but also as a way to hinder and attack your enemies. And the battles can be huge, involving hundreds of units. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Basically you terraform land to get resources and to build stuff on it. More land = more space to build and more resources. More resources = more units.

Plus i heard you can alter unit's DNA so one minute they could be a sniper then maybe a grunt or something... anyone feel free to correct me.

To be really blunt, I hated Perimeter and uninstalled it after the first time of playing it.

Ok got the demo last week, my main complaint is that units are way too small to see and that the game is too slow but would be unplayable if it were faster.

Ohhhh this has been in the works for quite a bit...

I recall the premise was something to do with fighting nightmares in your dreams or some sort of thing. Anyways the basic premise is extremely cool and I was looking forward to it, then it just dropped off the map.

    Now it's back.

    Gonna check this out.

Its changed a bit. You are on an exodus to a new planet, you can create several basic units then utilize nano-technology to morph them into other types of units. You fight the scourge, an alien race infesting worlds upon your journey. One of the basic buildings (much like the protoss pylon from starcraft) prodvide energy output, and when you make several around structures you can create a shield barrier. One of the worker classes terraforms the ground to extract energy and such. Its neat but too small and you can't go over 1024.768 resolution <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I played it quite a bit yesterday, which led me to a few conclusions. Theres something special in there, a glimmer of originality. I think its something to do with the premise of being able to alter the landscape around you, according to your needs. However, what exactly it was was eluded me, as I was too busy trying to wrestle with the user interface and the boring and annoying building tree. And the fact that I could find no easy way to view the health of my units. Or the fact that there was no way to judge what countered what. Or the fact that in the demo, the enemy can build units which you cannot. Or that you can hardly see your units.

I was hoping this was going to be the next step in RPG games, but unfortunately the graphics, the user interface and the boring units have completely spoilt it.
