Well I'm sure this is not even half the story, but I bet we'll here more about it as more information is gathered.

What do you guys think?

    Quite frankly, **** happens.

In a more sensitive way, its a shame, but these things do happen. I feel sorry for the victims and relatives, and I hope the relevant people learn from this. Not much else I can do.

It's a huge tragedy, on the scale of 9/11. At least this was an accident.

Of Course, The ever-paranoid Kim Jong Il II will blame the US for it and that state will sink farther into despair.

On an interesting side note, VP Cheney told China "If you can't keep Nuclear weapons out of the hands of the North Koreans, the US will have equal success keeping them out of the hands of Japan and South Korea" I'm paraphrasing of course. But still; interesting.

Its interesting seeing disasters such as this put on scale. "A huge tragedy at least on the scale of 9/11"

And then you remember that when the Yellow River in China floods, nearly a million people drown.

    >7000 ppl vs 900,000.

I feel sorry for the people that died, but i have a suspicous feeling it wasnt an accident. I mean trains are organized, how do 2 trains hit each other dead on? Its also coincidental that both carry explosive material.(Am I missing something or do people like to ride with explosive material). Meh just my 2 cents

I'm reading now it's up to 3000 killed or injured. So perhaps the situation isn't as desolate as we think....

And sadly, 3k is kind of small for a natural disaster. Didn't close to half a million die in Iran's earthquake?

Yeah now they are saying only 150 killed but the reports say that there were buildings one mile away that were crushed and/or scorched by the blast. And only 150 people died??? Sounds fishy to me. And then you consider that the North Korea is fanatical about keeping its business private and punishes citizens that speak of North Korean matters to outsiders. Makes me wonder if the death toll was much much larger than 150.

North Korea closed down all international phone lines for how long after the incident? Do you not find this the least bit suspicious?

Having spent 30 months in South Korea I became very familiar with the ways of the North Koreans. My guess is there's much more to this than meets the eye.
