Help Me With These Halfmodels

Solving the see through problem
I've managed to import some nice hands from somewhere else.... but half the hands are missing!!

Its like a trick i've seen modellers use to cut down on polys - only the bits of the model you'll ever SEE are skinned and present. I'm looking for a way to use MS3D to create the appropriate faces AND texture them. I can play with the create face button, and fill in the blanks a bit, but I'm baffled as to how to texture.

To be honest its not my field of expertise, I hate trying to skin and mesh and quite frankly since I'm an animator I don't see why I have to spend valuable animating time trying to learn the finer points of modelling. Sorry, but I'm being honest here. I'd really like someone to volunteer just to help with the model so I can finally FINALLY release my updated v models pack. From my point of view my time's better suited to animating other people's stuff while yet other people handle the parts I can't do.

It's taken me most of my milkshape trial to learn how to get the appropriate models out of the game and put them into a somewhat normal looking position... but with less than 4 days left I'm really looking for outside help.

Anyhow, tips or volunteers welcome, thanks!

Im guessing that the hands are in 2 .smd refrence files, so open one up, then import the other WITHOUT CLOSING THE PREVIOUS ONE, then you have both parts together. Nah, the other faces were sliced off to save on polygons. NVM tho because I found better replacements and made the release

Duplicate the hand and reverse the faces. that'll fix it.

Still, just dublicating/inversing would leave the holes open. It's like have backfaces on gun deleted, but with hands it's harder to "fix", because of the regions deleted most often aren't symmetrical to other parts, so you have to rebuild them poly by poly. For texturing, look at the layout of the textures for the existing parts of the hands. Then skinmap your newly created parts to fit in there
