My army sucks, overall maybe 500 over 9 planets, but hey i had 13,000 PP saved up so my army was just waiting to be created.

The bastard is smart I'll give him that much. My fleet arrives, mows his starbase but finds no forces. During all this time, my compy was off. His fleet arrives and creams my forces without a contest and he retakes the planet.
He's allied with another guy and they are BOTH attacking me. They can outproduce me easily and I cant put up enough resistance to hold them off.
I've decided to relocate to another system nearby. It's full of afkers and I'm going to start colonising right away. It's farther away from these two so it should give me time and the planets in my system will give them too much to worry about.

It is pretty Futile because the game will end in 4 days time due to people being in 500+ position already *sighs* just as i was getting to the mass-battleship stage... but yay i did get to send a fleet of em out to own and own a starbase

This is really funny this one guy who was suppose to be enemy I guess (He has 6 planets and I have 6 planets on the same place where I am). I attacked once but we both were on defense. I had about 4 other planets some where else.
Dammit... some random guy (a french player of course) who backstabbed me and slaughtered 2 of my planet , threw me off the top 500... I'm going to take his planets now , but my main planet is under attack by a stupid noobish neighbor with 12 SBs 16-18 on all of his planets , he sent 120 BS along with way too many transports. Fortunately they will arrive tomorrow , so if someone sends me enough money I'll build a sufficient SB 18 to convert his fleet into XP , then conquer 2 of his SB 16 planets. Combat , if you need XP and / or planets feel free to attack Spaceinvader , this guy has a -48% speed malus and a pityfully low energy level : once his only fleet is destroyed he will be free XP.
PS : my alliance sucks , they're clueless newbies who almost got at war with ES early in the game , then didn't bother to give anything to the 2 bankers - who were the best at fighting and SB farming... in the end , what I gave to them despite my production malus ended up being used in a 570 BS fleet going to siege the planets of a weak and harmless newbie.
So if you wish to play in the Core sector next beta , or even revive TSA , please tell me...
growth Whilst I never felt like I was behind in my sciences, my production output was probably worse than others. I finished at 10k PP per day (TA +7%) The biggest effect of low growth is to your score/rank
On the plus side +growth artifacts are nice and cheap.
speed Nasty to begin with, flight times of 2days... get your colony ships launched almost imediately or else you lose time. -2speed requires you to have +2.5 levels to match a standard player, -4 requires +5 levels to match.
I finished my game with energy lvl 19 and found my ships to be faster than many people's pm replies ;p
culture NICE - I finished at culture 16 and I never really concentrated on galactics - I think they were all level 13 eventually.
If you take this bonus and you are in a tightly packed group you may struggle to expand without making serious wars.

You thought the french were cowardly players who use nationalism as an excuse to betray their allies ? Think again... the only french member of the Xantilon international alliance attacked me in a treacherous way , so I'm keeping all of his planets under siege now. His german pal , who assisted him foolishly , is now falling prey to my clusters of destroyer fleets. Meanwhile , the french BSF alliance tears the best Xan members apart. Entire systems turned red within days.
On other news , I'll work undercover for an alliance next round. If I happen to see any of you as isolated players , I shall recommend you to that alliance. -4 def isn't a viable warrior attribute anymore. This beta it was , but now it is possible to lose huge chunks of your fleets/starbases even without a maths malus ! This means that waves attacks are back. Beta 7 is going to witness more betrayal moves than ever <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Also , the game will be no longer dominated by the pointwhoring "astrobuilders" who never fight. The races have been tweaked to make growth , science , culture and production bonii less effective , and astrowarriors will gain more levels , which means the trade agreements are effective again.
