<div class="IPBDescription">And I've gotten an idea!</div> WOOT! I figured out a way to continue mapping and actually make it work!

However, I'd need some SERIOUS support from someone.

I can MAKE the maps on my laptop and make them work (I've tested them and all) now that I've gotten a newer, better laptop. HOWEVER, I cannot compile anything more complex than a few basic shapes and models/sprites. It doesn't like to do it. So, I'd need someone willing to either

A) Help me re-set batch compiler on my PC once I re-format

B) Compile the maps for me

C) Compile, host, and resend me the finished map

I gotta go now cause a brown wolf spider just freaking bit my right arse cheek...

Heh, I could use someone to compile my maps, too.

Well, that is if I ever finish a map...

This is how it sounds to me: you map everything, and we do the nasty part (compiling, hosting, etc). This isn't asking for support, this is asking other people to do the things you are too lazy for...

How the hell did that happen? Are you sitting in the nude in a spider infested area? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

With -sparse or -nomatrix(?) for RAD you should be able to make due with less memory, but it will take a long time. If you have a slow machine with little memory that is available to sit and chew until it's done then you should be to do the final compile yourself. To test your map simply cordon of each area and test compiling it, that's a small workload. If you need to test r_speeds you can forgo running RAD alltogheter(this causes weird lag issues but your r_speeds will be accurate) and just do a -full VIS.

Read his post people. He is using a laptop that simply can't bear the heavy CPU-intensive burden of compiling a map. Now he's asking anyone who's out there who can compile his map for him. Sure sounds ridiculous, but if you feel so strongly about his request, then blink your eyes and move on. No need for <!--emo&--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif' /><!--endemo--> or <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo--> . It will only make you look like a fool.

(The smilies are for those people who need visual aids to comprehend the aim of my post.)

[EDIT] Blah the thing double-quoted. [/EDIT]

    Understood, hereby I apologize...

    Don't think I'll compile for ya though <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> !

I'm the one that had the phantom .wad file problem

It wasn't a brown wolf (thank god) and no I wasn't in the nude, I was in my PJ's and the darned thing musta crawled up me leg... hurts enough tho 0o'\

No, I'm not too lazy to compile, it's just every time I try It tells me it can't find cargotruck1.wad ... and the darned thing doesn't exist anywhere on my system. SO, isntead of pumping the map into my system from my laptop, I'd go from my laptop to our server computer, then just send the file to somone.

I'm still trying to fix it, and I'm still backing up stuff for the re-format 0o'
