Here's <a href='http://www.star.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/projects/MEDIA/xv/oc.html' target='_blank'>the site</a>. Is it done with a projector or does that coat actually reflect images behind it on it's own? Meh, it's still cool <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Edit: Fixed the linky.

    both links are the same.

    edit: the poster behind him was of siggraph 1999... A reputable name. I want to think that's a projector for a few reasons. One, where does it get its information from... he turns around and there's no camera behind him or any other device. The only problem with this is, why doesn't it shine on him? were the images on the objects just photoshopped in? That's the most likely answer. Wouldn't be too hard either.

    and it only works on a certain type of material, thats why it only covers the guy in the jacket, the ball or the brick...... the all use the same type of reflective material

    It seems more likely that it'd be done with a green (or blue) screen and green/blue object/coat.

    Its not photoshopped, they explain how it is done on <a href='http://www.star.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/projects/MEDIA/xv/oc.html' target='_blank'>this</a> page. useing a set of mirros and projectors, with special reflective material. Its quite clever.
