WTH... The Official Guide Is Wrong/outdated?

ok, in the frontiers men guide, the aliens have ablities that u do not see in game, like bilebomb, primal scream, and other such, i have been upgraded to 3 hives and i have not seen rush attacks/ablities, is that guide outdated? what is up with blink going though walls? when i blink i do not go through walls and appear on the other side, i simply jump really far, is that guide outdated? what is up with the gorge having an abilitie called blabbers.... and on the guide it says u need 2 hive to get web, but thats not true, u need 3! i think that guide is outdated, or i am having some kind of huge illusion that is making me see that way..... and for fade, how come it doesnt show the abilitie that allows fade to heal using his energy? and spore cloud for lerk needs only 1 hive, on guide it says 3! what is going on? the guide is from like another demention! WTH! i am having a really had head injoury or the gudie is messed up, which is it?

Yes, the "offical" guide is out to date; there is a link to another more updated one, but I don't have it. Also, you should be able to see the alien abilities primal scream, bilebomb etc. Blink never sent you through walls. In 1.04, it just made you teleport in the direction you were facing. Now you just travel really fast.

thats weird i dont see bilebomb i only see the acid launcher, and i dont see primal scream, is primal sream passive? and what about bile bomb, i only see acid rocket! is the gun like looking thing on fade acid rocket or bile bomb? if it is one of them, where is the other?

I see where you're getting mixed up.

Back in 1.04, Fade's had bilebomb as their third hive ability. But now in 3.0, the abilities have been switched around. The Fade no longer has bilebomb, and has been given metabolize (healing ability) as their third hive ability. The gorge received the bilebomb ability and as a consequence lost the ability of babblers (AI controlled skulks which were very easy to kill).

Also, primal scream is a lerk ability now as opposed to being an Onos ability back in 1.04. It's not passive and is very conspicious. You'll fear a major increase in speed of almost everything you do. It's also a hive three ability, so it doesn't appear as often.

I would suggest you search the forum for the link to the new guide. Don't even try to refer to the old guide anymore; it's way out of date.

<a href='http://www.natural-selection.org/manual_version_2/Natural_Selection_Manual_Framed.html' target='_blank'>Here</a> is the link to the new manual. I have had to post this three times in the past 2 days. I think it needs to be easier to find. The current path starts at natural-selection.org. Then you click on the Downloads link, then on How to Play. That's too much effort to find for most people.
