<div class="IPBDescription">Hard drive not showing up!</div> OK today after many peoples advice i manage to bumb my Hard drive to a 120 gb which isn't that great. but better anyway. well, after installing everything I can't see the Hard drive in My Computer screen? I was thinking you need setup disk for that, but i my be very wrong? Tell this idiot how to make the hard drive appear in My computer.

Note checking the system hardware the device is working ok, and is detected.

    hate to say it but check the manufacturers website...see what they say.... im a bit of a pc n00b but when i put a cd rw drive in my pc it didnt show up and neither did my original dvd drive...i ecentually worked out it was because there was a small pin in the cd rw the was on the "master" setting (u cant have 2 masters) so i set it to slave and bingo both the drives appeared...it could be conflicting with something...hard drives may not work like that at all but hey....CHECK MANUFACTURERES WEBSITE!

    You need to create a partition and format before using the drive. If you dont create a partition, it wont show up in My Computer. If you have Windows XP, open control panel, administrative tools, computer management, disk management. It should show up there, just right click and create a new partition, then format it. If you have older than XP, you'll need to do it the harder way with fdisk, in that case, google it.

    well, its basicaly the same on Win2K also, so your coverd unles you are running 98 or me
