somehow is 600 polys. and it's actually near done, because it's really that low-detailed even as the concept. Might try to throw some spice in there somewhere

looks a little small. maybe add a butt on the back end?
  • BAshhBAshh Join Date: 2003-08-26 Member: 20222Members, NS1 Playtester, Contributor
thought about it. but probably wont. maybe a sholder strap

well in my eyes shooting a gun with a pistol grip is gonna hurt after a bit. shooting a HMG with a pistol grip is gonna blow off your hand. or at least throw your aim waaaay off. but its your model, and it will probly look better without the butt anywas. i have a thing about realizm tho, and now im ranting on dont worry aboot what i say just go ahead and do your thing. its lookin good so far. keep up the good work!

nanites are the answer to all loopholes in NS
if you see a marine fly 50 feet away from an onos hit but not take a hint of damage, its cuz of nanites
when a gun goes through the marines hands, its nanites
when an explosion that would normally dissintigrate a person does nothing to you, its cuz of nanites,
so obviously, the gun is held in place by the nanites in your arm which form a shock absorbing piece of thing that sends the force to the surroundings through "nanitical" means which gives you near perfect aim

    THERE ARE NO LOOPHOLES

edit: nice model, a bit more detail would be nice though...something to kick it up a notch...perhaps some nice anims...

ever think the gun has the m249b anti-recoil system? 300 rounds/minute on a pistol grip felt pretty comfy to me...

Looks a little flimsy to be steadying an automatic weapon. Maybe make it a little thicker. Half solid, slides in to the gun. The other half folds over.

the stock? that was an afterthought anyway. I planned on having a shoulderstrap and not the folding stock. although here it is, bigger, and with a ejection converter, so you dont get a hot shelll in your arm if you're a lefty. The ejection converter as well holds teh mag inplace, rotate it backwards and the clip falls out. all the way forward and it's locked inplace.

Folding is better, it seems unrealistic to have it for an hmg though but it still looks better
  • CaptainPanakaCaptainPanaka Join Date: 2002-11-02 Member: 4718Members
yep... folded is better. but... why is the stock turned upside down? <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->
