I can't wait for this to come out. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Everybody seems to be releasing things on April 16. Is there anything particularly special about that day? <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
And what else is coming out the 16th?
That being said she killed 3 villians in part 1, and about 100 random people.
Bad taste? I perfer movies with:
1) A halfway decent plot.
2) Some structure to the movie.
3) Isn't riddled with 6,000 plot holes.
4) Doesn't make me fastforward through half the fights because the 'stunts' are so terrible and fake looking that I'm cracking up half the time. About the only thing they didn't do was make them fly across rooms and fight in midair flinging powerbolts at each other.
Bad Taste? This entire movie DEFINES bad taste.
Then again, some people think Starship Troopers was gods gift to theatres, but they can't actually give a single good reason why (Usually it goes a little like 'well, it had ALIENS, and BOOBIES and MISSILES!!!'). This movie is much the same. To the majority of geeks, the mere presence of a katana gets them 'excited'. Make a movie with a katana in there and you can see pretty much the male equivilent of an N'Sync concert.
Looking good <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

That is one thing I can say for V:2, the script looks a lot better this time around.

You're putting Kill Bill in the same boat with Starship Troopers. You lose.
Kill Bill felt the exact same to me.
A silly premise (Seriously, first twenty minutes of the movie, they get plot completly out of the way. Umma was pregenent with Bills' Baby (Bill... It's your bab- *BAM*). Then she wakes up out of a coma after seven years or whatever, and is somehow able to fight off a grown male man. Then she jacks the most visible car on earth (of course, after sitting in it for 11 hours) and not a single cop is alerted (You think, with a car like that, no one knows what car Buck drives? Seriously... they find his body, but his keys have been stolen. Hmm...)
A bad script. The one-liners constantly thrown around in the movie left a bad taste in my mouth. I could almost tell you exactly what was going to happen before it did. "Blah blah you're a woman." <Me: His head is going to be gone> "His head gets lopped off".
Senseless violence: Do I really need to go into this? I know Tarrantino wanted to make a blood opera or something with all the spraying, but I'm talking about just the whole idea. Umma is an assassin who was able to hide on the ceiling five feet above her target. But you know, it'd make too much sense to get a Draganuv and pop her head open, wouldn't it?
And the whole "You've got to be kidding me", I point to the 'big fight' with the Crazy88s. Okay, so that quick skirmish with the black chick. That was understandable. She missed, so you knife her.
Every single badguy seemed to suffer from StormtrooperSyndrome, except instead of making terrible, terrible misses with laser guns, they're doing it with swords.
For what it's worth, the acting in kill bill was infinitely better then SST (Not sure if you can get worse then THAT movie in that regard)
Am I the only one that though the violence was funny?
"Better Script" and "plot holes" don't make any sense since A) they are all one script, and B) it is impossible for Tarentino movies to have plot holes because he uses a style where at any point in the film he can explain something that happened earlier. I assume you aren't a Tarentino fan and didn't know this, so just relax his movies are meant to be enjoyed not to be taken seriously, and most of all not to be PC.
WTH, this isn't eBay... :P
i wont be watching volume 2 tbh
and can someone explain to me why halfway through the big fight it turned to black and white (AND DONT SAY SYMBOLISM <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> )
as i said although it wasnt great it was very enjoyable and if u want a good bloody movie or a indepth plot movie then i recommened this.

The black and white stuff was because it was censored, the DvD version is in color.
And in terms of you not liking it here's the director's own words.
"I make movies for myself first. If I make a movie I like but no one else does I still consider it a sucess."
Basically to like Kill Bill you have to like Tarentino movies, and if you don't he doesn't care and neither do we. : )

They put scenes from parts in the first trailers for the movie. They did the same thing w/ putting Reloaded/Revolutions footage together in the first Matrix sequel trailer... Except hopefully Kill Bill Part 2 won't suck.
Oh and this isn't Kill Bill 2. Its not a sequel. Its the second half of the story. Its like you walked out of the theatre halfway through the movie 6 months ago and are now watching the second half of the story.
