Kazaa messes up my sound sometims, its probably a program thats doing it, if your using XP type msconfig in the run box and check whats loading at start up, maybe is some spy ware :?

I keep tabs on what processes are running on my system at all times, and I can't think of any programs that would change microphone settings.
I was thinking that since I have to reboot to fix the problem it might be something mechanical. I have no idea; I don't know anything about the electronics aspect of it.
