2 Days I could here lots of sirens going off and it seemed that every cop car in the world was speeding off. I wasnt working that day so i didnt know what had happened right away so I didnt post anything here.
As it turned out 2 officers from the next county over were serving an arrest warrent when they came under fire from the house they were going too.
Both officers were shot and killed.
Several state and local law enforcment agencies from 2 states (NY and PA started a huge manhunt. Which just recently ended with the arrest of suspect Dustin Briggs.
Who was IDed by a witness who saw him walking the woods near his house.
The cops swarmed all over him and captured his ****.
Yay! for good guys,
<!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo--> for Deputy Christopher Burgert, 30, of Sayre, and Deputy Michael Van Kuren, 36, of Warren Center PA both married with kids.
They are numbers 17,125th and 17,126th law enforcement officers to die in the line of duty in US history.
This made me really think as just yesterday I was in the supply room trying to look for another pair of uniform pants to fit properly down over my boots my for summer job, I looked up and saw my friend getting his gear over a few feet away rummaging through the stacks of body armour trying to find his size. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->

i agree,
also, it pisses me off when people give cops **** and stuff like this happens, saying "fing pigs" "cops are @$$ holes" "they dont do anything worth while" etc etc
my thoughts are with you/them
THEY HAD CHILDREN AND WIVES YOU NITWIT
despite this, i still hope he gets life at least
[EDIT:] if this comes across as if i didnt give a rats arse, then its not. i do care, i just can appear very non-caring sometimes
Cops never bothered me. In fact, as long as you're not doing anything bad, cops are a good thing.
And good that they got the baddie.
If the survivors where all that matters then you could kill them as well and there would be no one left for anyone to feel sympathy for but that would obviously not be a good solution.
Really, the damage to society may well be larger if the victim had relations who depend on him or her but I can't see how anyone would argue that the victims death is not by far the bigger tragedy, that's where injustice was done, this is the person/s who lost the most.
You can't express condolences to dead people, you can express them to/for the other victims of the crime. And as for killing all of the survivers.... welll you might as well just shot your self now and save some one else the time (every one is connected, you kill me and that creates 50+ imediate other victims, 4 of them live in england, so now we kill all of them, and we got even more (and we allready crossed the ocean with just me alone)
ats why we express condolences for the other living victims, and why we mourn/pray for the dead.
as ofcourse, my heart goes out to all involved in this.....
and Davis, wear that armour when ever you have the option.
Have some respect!

Naw, they will just say we'll check in in a couple of days <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> . The reason why cop killers are punished harder is because they are distorting an fundamental by commiting crimes against them in their function <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Anyway, I'm sorry to hear it. It's waste..
killing 5K people is worse then killing 1 person. But killing one person is still unacceptable. Its not that one is better, it is that one is worse <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
