    The limit is only 3 chambers can heal you or give you back stamina at 1 time. So it is not smart to place more than 3d in 1 area. I have never heard of a chamber limit for a certauin area.

    Even when a message pops up saying "There are too many chambers of this type nearby"?
    Anyway, the manual says 3 and this seems reasonable, but the manual is horifcially out of date and no consensus ever seems to be reached on this question. Flayra, help please?

    Taken from manual
    <!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Automatically heals up to 3 chambers or aliens within 400 units for 10 hp every 2 seconds..
    <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    I've always read that as each chamber can heal up to 3 other things rather than you can only be healed by 3 chambers. So more chambers = more healing.

    And the NS 3.0 Manual:

    <a href='http://www.natural-selection.org/manual_version_2/Natural_Selection_Manual.html' target='_blank'>NS 3.0 Manual BETA</a>

    Each chamber can heal or whatever 3 things at once. There is no limit on how many chambers can heal you at once. You are allowed 8 of each chamber in each region. If you find a point where 4 regions overlap (such as sleeping quarters in ns_mineshaft) you can place 32 of each chamber near the intersection.

    The preceeding posters I believe are correct. If you have eight defensive chambers you will heal 80 health points back each tick. But if you have say 25 objects around (ie. structures, aliens), then only 24 of the structures will be healed (80 health points each tick) since each defensive chamber can heal up to three objects.

    According to the manual, one DC could heal three targets at 10HP per two seconds.

    However, eight DCs would still only be able to handle three targets at a time, not 24. It would heal those three at 80HP per two seconds.

    This is how I thought things worked to get rid of WOL's ( proper ones from way back when ). But do they heal random structures, the one's closest to them or the ones furthest away ?

    I suspect it picks it's targets to heal by scanning the entity list from beginning to end. This would normally mean that the first chambers you drop get priority in healing. This can be tested by droping one Defense Chamber and 4 Movement Chambers next to it. Hitting all 4 mcs with a grenade will damage them at the same time. Only the first three Movements you dropped will be healed until one of them is fully healed, at which point the fourth begins healing. Just in case you're curious, players are always near the beginning of the entity list. Technically, Defense Chambers should only support 3 players in an end-game "hideout"
