help the pirate
OK, i need to know which programs are need to make windows keep running. In windows b4 xp there was about 2 you needed to keep running.

Let me explain why i need to run with minimal programs, some viruses can't be deleted because they are running at the time, and i don't which of them are not windows programs and which are windows programs. I've accidently shut down windows twice and am getting annoyed.

Well then. Which version of Windows are you using? And 'Help the pirate?' what do you mean by that, precisely?

Why not just let your virus scanner fix it?

Try booting into Safe Mode... or better yet, make a DOS boot disk (it's in the floppy disk formatting options) and delete them that way.

Still better, just hit up http://housecall.antivirus.com and let it scan/clean your drive. Some, it can't delete. But it'll tell you how to get rid of them.

Try boot in to safe mode then scan

If you want to know how to get there reboot computer just tap F8 until you reach the menu (it easier then try to tell you when to press it )
Chose boot in safe mode then run your scanner see if it picks any thing up
