<div class="IPBDescription">screenshots included</div> I've got some serious problems with my missile's "wings". Below I have some screenshots. We first created the missile in vertical axis and then rotated it 50 degrees. The wings are made with clipping tool and the vertexes haven't been moved afterwards. Every brush of missile are grouped together after rotation. All help is appriciated.

Pic #1: This is hammer view and how it's supposed to be.
Pic #2: This is what it looks like after the compile.

    press alt p for problems, you might have done an axis wrong with vertex minip ^_^ if that doesnt work delete the top one, and then copy the bottom one and replace it for the top one ^_^

    I'm not so sure if that is the problem. I have used the search problems function, and fixed the invalid brushes, but it still won't work. I will try that copy thing but then I will have to turn grid locking off and it makes it rather difficult. If anyone knows any other possible reasons for this, then tell me.. ^^ I was just wondering if the brush is somehow badly rotated.. :/

    this one of the four wings has suffered the most.

    First of all, this is the wrong forum.

    Second of all, it's most likely just a vertex not being on grid. Either check your rmf to make sure they're all on grid, or open the .map and look at it there, or finally use HLFix to export it without it snapping to the grid.

    Thanks ShdwStal, you're the best!! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    I checked the map file exported with hammer and then understood, so I downloaded the HLFix program and it solved everything. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Ok, another problem. I used HLFix to export my rmf into map and then compiled it. Looks just fine, compilers didn't give any errors. But when I go to steam and start game with my newly compiled map, the loading bar appears as usual, but disappears in a second. I decide to check console for possible errors and find this:

    Host_Error: PF_precache_model_I: Bad string '

    Now when I try to play another maps it gives the same error. Reinstalling Ns helps and I can play other maps without getting errors. But if I start a game with my map it starts to give that error again.

    I would be very glad if someone told what this error means and/or how I can fix it.
    It seems there is some kind of problem in my map and I think it is because I used the HLFix. At least it was after that when the problems started to appear.

    Have you tried to a compile first with the HLFix version, then with the Hammer exported one?

    I will try now. May take some 30 minutes <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    ok, so now I truly now it was HLFix which caused this strange error. I dunno why, but after compiling the map with hammer exported map-file it worked just fine and I could play it. Only that I had to reinstall ns and my gamma settings are now totally screwed. Tried to modify in console but didn't help too much.

    I also tried to move all the vertexes of the wings in grid and finally managed to do it but, when I exported it into map it still looked kinda twisted (u know <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->). Btw. I ran the makewad.exe and it added some useless wads in that HLFix' wad.text and I had over 8 wad files. Dunno if that matters. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Have you had any this kind of problems with HLFix before? I think I'll have to do with hammers extractor.. :/

    I haven't ever used HLFix myself, so I would recommend you keep everything on grid.

    Batch Compiler still compiles the bad .map files that Hammer shoots out. And I do use Batch Compiler.
