read it!
When you're in game, do you accually think about RFK? i mean, do you play thinking, "i can get loads of res killing loads of enemies!"

i have never considered this. i don't even think about rfk AT ALL when playing. just go and try to get ur team to win...with lots of difficulty considering the fact that sometimes nobody goes gorge....

Resource for Kills is always on my mind, and I don't see why it shouldn't. The more kills, the more resources you get to resources to spend on helping your team win. Also, it serves as a reminder for me to set up ambushes, and not to rush into a group of marine and die needlessly giving them resources.

In 1.04, I used to always make suicide rushes as marine bases, trying to take down the tf or the pg, figuring that on the tenth or fifteenth attempt it would probably go down. With rfk, I don't see that as being worthwhile anymore, since marines will get 20 res or more from it. I usually don't think about getting rfk, but I think about giving it to the other team.

I wouldn't mind if MORE people thought about RFK. Maybe they would make fewer hopeless charges.

RFK for the marines is not entirely necesary, but it helps.

RFK for the aliens can be gamewinning if one early game skulk rapes five marines in a row. That's anywhere from 5 to 15 res earned. As a side benefit, you prevent the marines from leaving base by killing them.

Entire alien strategies can be worked around the idea of massive RFK.

The RFK system needs tweaking, but it's a good idea. RFK is one of the reasons I don't necesarily put down an RT in the first minute. Sometimes it's better to try and camp the marine base as long as possible in the early game until they have too many upgrades or they start getting wise to your camping. Anyone who intends to be saving for the hive or fade, or anything that doesn't involve gorging, should be active in going directly for where the marines are, and waiting for a chance to sneak in and kill a few.

RFK is how aliens win games in large person servers. If you just let your RTs do the job of giving you res, you'll have a slower time than if you are out there hanging over a doorway biting anything that walks on two legs.

rfk is much more prevalent for aliens than marines. When I go rine I just shoot anything nonhuman...after all...I can get ammo, health, armor for free...so it's so important for me as an individual. However, killing those kharaa for the extra res is very important...you never know when that one extra health pack will help.

Yea, I think about RFK when I'm saving for a hive. Mostly I just skulk around and get my res up faster.

I usually don't put down an rt IMMEDIETLY, I go out, kill some rines, cause some mayhem, and then with my fat juicy res, put up some rts and ocs/a hive/chambers. Or if that's all covered, I get to fade! ^_^

I usually save for hive/chambers/onos (under the approval of my team) so it is EVERYTHING. I will literally, jump into a room of marines to try and get one or two. I usually succed in killing the entire team almost though if they do a relocate to double. One guy usually guards and the rest build. I kill the builders because they think the gaurd will stop me. FAT CHANCE!

RFK for aliens should be in, but RFK for marines should be removed or lowered to 1 res / kill to give aliens a bigger chance in large games, to balance this out gorges should cost 5 res / be free and aliens would start with 15/20 res (depending on the gorging cost). Skulking should always be free. Upgrades (for skulks only?) should be lowered to one res, and marine upgrades should be more expensive. All these changes are meant to extend the early-game / early-midgame. NS is way too much mid-game now imo, way too few upgraded skulks vs lvl2LA marines fight.

no. RfK is the foolishsed implemention since the siege.

    This makes to much imbalance.
Skulks are meant to be a low-cost-ever-attacking sneaker, but with RfK are those suicidal attacks a pain because you have to cause more mayhem and destruction then your death would bring back in the store.

    It's just crazy.

I don't have much to do with RfK anyway - but that income from my OC...
