<div class="IPBDescription">"Battle Royale"</div> Well basically the people at gamespy took the 56 losers and put them into one big fight.

My canidates for myself where:

Age Of Empires 2
Chrono Trigger
C&C : Red Alert
Deus Ex
Fallout 2
KoTOR
Metal Gear Solid
Quake
Quake 2
Starcraft

I chose Deus Ex because it mixed 2 genres really well. Featured multiple ways to complete the levels. Kick-**** graphics (well they were then and they still look good now). Just general brilliance

They want to compare such a wide plethora of game styles?

Fah, they are all good in their own right.

Metroid Prime, for the sheer beauty of it.

Here's a question... where the heck are Wind Waker and Prince of Persia in this whole thing? They're the two best games I've ever played!

First off, Metroid Prime had 0 A.I. It was single-handedly the WORST A.I. I think I've EVER seen. Windwaker...man...I'm sorry, but a game that REQUIRES a strategy guide because the puzzles are so stupid isn't a good game.

Chrono Trigger, anyday. No flaws, at all.

Everyone vote System Shock 2 or I'll find out where you live and steal your pets.

Have you ever played any Metroid game before?! There wasn't ever any A.I., as that the point of the game was learning patterns. Meta-Ridley, he charges twice and then breathe beams. After three or two rounds of injuring him, he flies and drops bombs on you. Then it's rinse and repeat. The entire Metroid series is really just a huge puzzle solving game. Most of the time, you can beat the boss on the second try.

    Are you kidding?

One of my favorite parts of Wind Waker was that you could walk into a room, take stock of what was there, and almost immediately know what needed to be done. The fun of the game wasn't in figuring out what needed to be done, because they never made it totally nonsensical. The fun was in following through with some of their brilliantly arranged puzzles.

Case in point: The entire Earth Temple, solving the mirror puzzles with the girl from Dragon Island. So well done.

    KotOR.

Bioware fanboy (since I've been in their offices and know a few guys who work there) and damn proud of it <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Earth Temple ROXED. All I have to do to beat the game is fight Ganon (hopefully that wasnt a spoiler. If it was for you, you're a very bad gamer). Unfortunately, my brother wont let do that until he collects everything he can in the Nintendo Gallery without doing the second quest. That means I am NEVER going to beat that game. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

and yes, why wasnt wind waker in there? probably all the purist zelda fans compaining about the graphics, imo, they coulnt have made the game with good graphics without bumping up the loading times, Zelda:WW has basically no loading time, now who could say no to that?

while better graphics would be nice, i would go for cel-shaded graphics if it meant quick loads.

Some of the wind waker puzzles were rediculously nonsensical. I spent hours trying to figure out how to get the stupid blobs off the tree, to no avial, and I don't even own the game (not that that is really relevent). There was a little too much wild guessing and trying everything you can type puzzles. Myself I could ussually figure them out after taking stock of the situation, but my buddy who owns the game, who played with me, for the vast majority of the time he was just lost.

Deus Ex, System Shock 2 or Metroid Prime.

Deus Ex for the amount of fun I had playing this, great story line, great gameplay, great game. Same with System Shock 2, amazing game and scary as hell! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> Metroid Prime for graphics, puzzles and shear fun of it. All great games.

PoP is a rental game, buying it isn't the smartest thing to do. Rent it, love it, beat it, return it.

I play through Deus Ex once every couple months, that game is fantastic. Wind Waker and Metroid Prime are pure gaming bliss. They've both got minor annoyances, but both offer some of the best fun to be had in recent memory.

My first playthrough of Prince of Persia was 7:35.

    My second was 5:30.

    My third was about 6.

My fourth... well, you get the point.

Yes, it's short... but it's sooooo delicious, it's forgiveable. Its length is pretty much the only reason it *didn't* supplant Wind Waker as Best Game I've Ever Played.

Oh, and raz0r: I *loved* Wind Waker's graphics. The art style was so original and so cohesive - everything just fit together.

I've always liked Eternal Darkness: Sanitys Requiem best for GC. I dunno why, I don't know many people who have tried it, but it's something else. The insanity factor is freaky, the gameplays a bit repetitive but it's great, you play as loads of different characters and different point in the worlds history.

Also. Wind Waker was good yeah, but are we forgetting Ocarina of Time?
