I was just wondering if someone could write a small admin mod plug-in for me, all i need it to do it write the X,Y co-ordinates of a player to a txt file every 3 seconds

if anyone could do this for me it would be great and i would give you the credit when iv finished my project <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

JUST the X, Y or the X, Y, Z co-ordinates? And, what would the purpose of a plugin doing this? The last thing, do you want it to write a NEW txt file every 3 seconds, or add a line with the player's name and the Co-ords?

I would like the X,Y coords , i know how to output to a file using writefile but whenever i output X and Y they come up as some weird charecters :/

just make it output say 10,12 to say location.txt every 3 seconds
10,12
13,10
17,14

I have seen a few server that have a plugin that make you invinsible for the first few seconds after spwaning. Anyone know what this script is? Also I was wondering if it would be possible to make a script that goes to co maps if there are less than 10 people on the server and ns maps if there are more than 10 people. Thanks

ok, so it records the x,y coords of a player every 3 seconds...

Every player that joins? or just one player in particular?

And if it's every player, do you want one huge text file, or 1 file for each player?

Do you want it to do this automatically, or does someone need to enter an "admin_gridpoint" command to start it?

The more specific you are, the closer to what you actually want you'll get.

You can do that in the mapcycle.txt, open it up and read. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
