    Why?




    Level-based system. As well, the best items cost NOTHING; IE: A rune two-hander (R2H) costed about 1 mill when it first came out. then 500K (that's 500 thousand. K = 1000) once people started save to get them. But now because of all the combat-beasts it costs a measly 50k. And just to say, you can (depending on your -*shudder*- level) sell 5 iron platemails to a shop keeper NPC and get $2.5K)

    Trust me, from someone who's played runescape on and off for 3 - 4 years, it isn't worth it unless you actually <i>like</i> getting arthritis and power-leveling like a madman. the first few 30 levels are nice to get through but once you hit level 31 it's a total pain in the a**. (hence you know why i -*shudder*- before i said -*shuder*- "leveling system of skill enhancement")

    [also i thought i should say that paying doesn't get you anything but more quests and new areas and with those new areas new things to kill. hmm...     If you get a few friends on, you can have some fun. Shooting the breeze, killing the monsters,etc. I used to play it seriously, but I really just use it as an uber chatroom nowadays. I don't really fancy getting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

    i played rs for a couple of months.
    it is by far the crappiest game ever.
    it's just like progressquest, except you have to click for the bars to go up.
    which makes it worthless.

    *edit* btw, in 3 months i managed to make it into the top 1000 smithers. that was a royal pain.

    feh, i used to play it a bit, but this was back when i didnt have any cool games or NS for that matter.
