Bite 'n' Parasite - lagging?
Well, it happens quite every game to me that if I shoot (or bite respectively) something with this two attacks, my game freezes for an eyeblink.

my question(s) in here is/are now:
is this normal?
does anyone else faced it?

and important:
can i get rid of it? it disturbs me, it's annoying and destroys my experience of playing...

Sounds like you have lag or simply not enough RAM.

Tell us your connection speed and computer specs.

also check your rates(inside joke ), the only thing i have problems with lagging is the marine grenade when taking it out, priming it, and throwing it

I always have lag... fps lag on my 9800XT because the XT drivers are screwed over and cause the fps drops in steam. Thats what I read on ATIs site anyway. with my XT I only get 20 fps in NS

Check your processes, make sure everything that can possibly be closed, is. (Winamp was doing something like this to me).

Check your sound settings. Try turning off sound, see if that fixes it.

Try DirectX mode, just for testing.

well, it happens only once - until i close down the client and re-open it.

It's like an one-timer which apears only while loading the weapon animation for me.

oh, and my specs (duh - ooooold... I need a new one anyway this x-mas...):

    PIII 900
    128 MB RAM (pre-ddr..)
    around 45 GB HD
    Creative Audio PCI (on board)
ADSL @ 768kb (maybe upgraded to T1 in the near future - for free )
    Windows ME / actual upgrades
some dvd drive, dunno it's speed

thats it, I don't know my MotherBoard's specs...

besides that, I only have my Antivirus running (2 Systray Entrys / 1 for Monitoring, 1 for Config), Steam and the Default Windows Audio Config + the PPPoE Monitoring (It's called DF? in German, I saw it like DFUE one time, don't know english therms for it).

You forgot your video card, which is the most important bit next to ram. And yes, in my opinion, your poor comp is probally ram-starved seeing as how my winxp box uses a MINIMUM of 120kb of ram with all it's processes going.

    It's an old GeForce 2 MX / 400 crap-card...

Well, at least it got 4x AGP support.

vidcard is okay, I'd say this is probally a ram issue inflamed by the fact that Windows ME is Stupid ™.

I'd like my WinXP box to use 120kb of RAM anyday... Normal WinXP uses about 60 MB of RAM :-p... Anywho it's your comp definately, it's too slow I'm afraid..
