My friend who live next to me just updated his steam sucessfully.
He has the correct version of the NS beta etc
However whenever he tries to connect to an NS server he still gets that

Cannot get ID ticket information cannot authenticate with steam server message.

You know, the error message that the whole world got last week.

My NS runs fine and he is set up the same as me, with a valid legal copy of hl and everything without a shared cd key.

Anyone have any ideas?


Figured Id post here b/c this is an NS only issue.

    Has he tried logging off of steam? and not just closing the program, actually logging off? That fixes any "Ticket" errors for most people.
