where do I put the .level files?
Hey I jsut got all these new custom maps for Homeworld 2. But I dont know were to install them.

C:/Sierra/homeworld2

then I have to folders.

A bin folder and a data folder with lots of crap in it but I looked around and some folders ar emtpy etc..

Does anyone know where to put custom maps and stuff b/c I cant find a map or level file anywhere.

Someone said to just place them in the same area as the .exe file is like you do with the Command & Conquer games but that didnt work

thanks

PS they should so do a starwars total conversion.
There are many mods and conversions out there but it would be cool to have the Higarian battle crusiers be star destroyers lol

oops I finaly figured it out lol.. after like 2 hours of searching around 2 dozen hw2 forums and sites.

As it turns out there is no directory for any custom maps. You have to make your own.
>_<
Not hard at all.
Thanks I see comprox he can delete this now if he wants too

There is already a star wars conversion for the first homeworld, I havent seen any mods for HW2 however.

The only good HW2 mod in production os a BattleTech one =D

For homeworld, you pretty much had to backup the whole folder as the engine wasnt made to be modded it will replace many files. Im pretty sure it would be easier for HW2.

    http://www.battletechmodproductions.com/btsw/faq.shtml (Homeworld 1 and 2)
    http://swnr.themaw.net/ (Homeword 1)

The star wars mod is excellent, there is also a tweak with it to show fighters on a smaller scale for more realism. I wouldnt recommend BTSW till it comes out for HW2
