Server Starts Up Fine

<div class="IPBDescription">but no one outside lan can connect</div> well, ive got the server set to 192.168.1.18:27015, my ip, cause if i try +ip and diff ip i get the port problem, without +ip it starts up fine, but only I can connect, ive opened the Port, just dont know how to get to internet players can get to it,

192.168.1.18:27015 is your internal IP, which is why others don't see it or can't connect but you can. You need to find your external IP, and open the necessary ports on your router.

Um, I had this problem too. All you gotta do is keep your IP the same when you start up, but you need to find out your EXTERNAL IP. This is what you give to people. It'd be nice if Steam was set up so it could run better on computers that operate on LAN.
