Don't use one brush for the floor, ceiling, or walls. use lots <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> and try to use textures that go well together, don't just throw the names in a hate and pick at random.
You are doing yourself no favours by rushing things. Take you time. Make something stunningly atmospheric. You will feel far more rewarded if you deliver what you promised everyone.

You should of got some solid, atmospheric in-game screens done, cause there's not much we can comment on here and certainly nothing of merit.
And as for the double node, I have a suggestion. Make the trim of the curved floor the red func_wall/seethrough texture, then throw some details behind them, possibly lights that could add a neat effect onto the floor next to it.
Keep on mapping, and dont get so steamed all the time. Just like Tequila said, you "prematurly ejaculated" and rushed pictures off to the fourms eager to get comments.

I've lost faith in you Plague.
And you're supposed to run the compile. I also think you should make a list of things you want to implement into this map that is going to contribute to the scary atmosphere that you wanted to create.
#2 why dont you guys give me IDEAS for the MAP instead of critisizing my work on things i havent even done before.
#3 this is my first time mapping after like 3 years so back off. just because im not good as you other mappers doesnt mean you can go on my back about my work suckin.

1) Then give media after you've completed the atmosphere and got some compiled shots worth showing. As everyone keeps telling you, but you never seem to want to listen to what they have to tell you.
2) Noone is critisizing you. Get a grip.
3) As I stated above, no one is critizising you, their giving you constructive comments allready that you've thrown a strop over. Nobody can help you much anyway with Editor shots. In game shots is where people can get a better idea of the map and thus, help you with ideas.
Stop throwing your rattle out of your pram for god's sake.

That last line was <i>entirely</i> unnecessary - if you can't even post without adding a little snip of your own, just leave the thread and don't come back. Antagonism is NOT what we need here, or in this community as a whole.
To Darkplague - I would suggest adding some flare to the walls. perhaps pipes, boxes, supports, light fiixtures - anything to break up the architecture. Just have fun with it!
And no, compiled shots are not necessary until you actually have them completed - note how Blackplague never said that he was offering compiled shots. That's one thing you don't do when making a map, it will result in empty somewhat boxy rooms all over the map, try and put detail in that, it's way more simple when putting in detail along making the map step by step.
So you're basicly blaming us for your mapping abilities?
