Well, if you have Windows, IE is still there. You could just use it, and then turn it back off when you're finished at Fileplanet. Easy.
Not that I ever go to FP if I can avoid it anyway. I hate them more than anything. Anything I can get there I can get much faster if I did a little. And sometimes I like to dig a little more, just so I can find a way to get it with bitTorrent. Because if you don't download with bT, you're downloading WITH HITLER!!!?

Then again, for Fileplanet, if you take into account the free game they give you, it's not really that bad of a bargain.
Are you on the same ISP? If they notice that multiple completely different IPs have been accessing one account, they cancel your subscription.
Aea, once you start putting lots of D/Ls on there and stuff, I'll use it too.
But I'll always have gamespy. Why? Cause 1 cool this is that in arcade, it includes a voice-chat thing that works for whatever game your doing, in which you can talk either on a team or on the server as a whole. Don't make me start ripping you on how senseless it is to basically call someone a idiot on these boards, ESPECIALLY ME, and not have them totally bite back.
Secondly, ANOTHER REASON I'll be getting it, is because I get programs THAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO MAKE FOR YEARS.
Thirdly, THEIR SERVERS ARE BETTER THAN ANY OF THE OTHER'S I HAVE DOWNLOADED FROM, AND MORE RELIABLE.
Fourth, ITS TAKING ME 4 WEEKS TO RAISE THE MONEY FOR THIS, AND THATS GOING TO HOLD OFF RAISING UP FOR OTHER THINGS I NEED MUCH MORE.
So shut it, newbie.

I don't care what you could possibly say because that's still a lot of money your spending just to save time... If you just spend more effort finding multiple reliable download sites, it is just as effective.
You are just paying money so you can be lazy. There is no denying that.
Everytime I have to download some LARGE obscure file, I search at least 8 different places, start up each download, find which one goes the fastest, then start up my download accelerator, and then go and do something else while I wait, all in the space of 3-6 minutes. Your just substituting this with one site that you pay to gaurantee suitable speeds and no wait time.
At least you get other random things with your subscription though, the only upside in my opinion. As well as the new IGN - GAMESPY thing going on now.

Dude! You totally left your sense of humor in the crapper when you took a dump this morning. Did you just not notice the smily face at all?
Too bad IGN is a lying bowl of arse, as anybody who reads Penny Arcade knows.
First off, the perks. You get a free game, and tons of programs that no one outside Gamespy has made (even though they are a "DUHHHHHH!!!!" kind of thing. And don't say "Well why don't you learn C++ and make some yourself!" cause guess what: I am).
Second off, half the sites I try and get those from give me nothing but "Sorry, we linked you to something that doesn't exist. Good luck finding our exclusive map/model/game/demo elsewhere!".
Third, and this is directed RIGHT at Cold-Nite: What if I DON'T have the frickin time to wait? What if I also LIKE gamespy? I think they are one of the best gaming companies around, if not THE best. Despite the fact more people on here hate them for no reason other than them giving instant-download links to people who pay them, they STILL get people going to them. Why? Because they provide a service thats damned good.
Also Cold-Nite, if you noticed, Bistro was talking about how I had money to throw around, so I was just pointing that out.
Oh yeah, and paying to be lazy? Thats a sack of BS. You know why? If I'm so lazy, why is it I'm doing double-chores to get this thing for a year? If I'm so lazy, why is it I'm getting a job the day after I turn 16, to help pay this off as well as other things?
So basically what I'm saying here is- no, I don't like getting mad at you guys, but when you decide to be **** or total idiots, I bite back. And I do it full fair. So PLEASE drop it. If you don't want to pay, thats just frickin fine, but your probably also the kind of person that think MMOs should be a 1-time fee.
