<div class="IPBDescription">On rr.org</div>*Warning, positive opinions below*
Well, now that all the official maps are up on rr.org, what does everyone think? Judging by looks alone, I think that...
-Bast: Looks very detailed, immersive, atmospheric
-Caged: Seems to have its own personality, kinda scary for marines
-Eclipse: Clean look, relatively small texture set but still manages to look different and wonderful everywhere
-Tanith: Very, very nice, love the view to the outside
-Nothing: Yup, looks so good I actually used it as a model once when I was trying to improve my mapping skills
-Nancy: Lots of competition from the other maps, but it fits in very well indeed
-Hera: Has its own unique look--and it looks great
Yeah. What do you think? Questions? Comments? Ideas? Information? Flames?
No wait, scratch that last one.

Ooooo the suspense.
rofl
i think its ns_thecubeofdewm
greedo.. greedo, this is rob's copyrighted map, and it's got a much more profain name, it was scrapped due to r_speed problems, though, and texture limits.
*me slaps greedo*

Yes, because we all know how 2 dimensional jpegs look much better than full, 360 degree, 3 dimensional worlds.

It's probably your computer.
When you run everything in 1600x1200 OpenGL, even aaa_triggerbox looks like s3ks.
Caged: This map feels huge but you get to places quickly (usually). For some reason, I can't say much else.
Eclipse: The map I've seen the least of. However the Triad is a place to be felt not seen.
Nothing: The tight corridors along with turns gives one a "is there a skulk right there?" feel. Some of my greatest moments is defending the Viaduct hive from the marines. It's also a shotgunner's dream.
Nancy: The most eerie map in my opinion. With the excepation of mother and one other room, the map is cramped with lots of places to hide. The marine spawn has a great balance between defense and openness.
Tanith: This map seems to contain the most intense battles. Also it is the map with the map "open" places in which you can see the sky!
Hera: After every rebuild, the most gets sexier. If it was remade one more time, it'll be more sexy than a Vegas showgirl. This map is also has the most often used weld spots.
