Well i inputted -wadinclude to csg...
Now everytime i try to compile my VHE crashes.

Any tips? Help? Is that even the correct place to put it? Do i have all my other compile parameters correct?

Thanks.

You need to add the filename of the wad you want to include after the -wadinclude switch.

When you say VHE is crashing, do you get an error screen?

Double check for the following processes in task manager (middle tab, they don't show as applications):

    HLCSG
    HLBSP
    HLVIS
    HLRAD

Hammer locks up until the compile is finished -- if one of those is running, it means your map is still being compiled and Hammer won't respond until it's finished. Complex maps can take hours to compile... if you use an external compile front end like BC (see FAQ, sticky thread) you'll be able to keep using Hammer while your map is compiling, but Hammer usually takes a large bite out of memory so if you're under 256MB you might want to close it anyway.
