People keep bashin Microsoft. WHY?! What in THE HELL have they done to you? Gouge you? Lets see, they spend 8 years developing a OS that format wise has NOT been done better(aka, the use of windows for everything). Then, they update it every 2-3 years, put out a special pack for it every year or 2, and once in a while a special edition? They continue to update with security buffers, NOT BECAUSE THEY DID A BAD JOB IN THE FIRST TIME, BUT BECAUSE NEW VIRUSES POP UP EVERY MINUTE.
Oh, lets look at that in fact. Why do you think a Linux PC doesn't get hacked as much as Windows? Why doesn't a Mac get hacked as much as windows? MAYBE BECAUSE FOR EVERY LINUX PC, THERE IS 1000 MORE WINDOWS BASED ONES. For Mac, its 100 more. Either way, there are TONS more. And why hack something you can only hit a few people with? And along with that, do you honestly believe Linux is harder to hack? I seriously doubt it.
Stop friggin complaining, or put up some decent answers. And don't say their tech help sucks- they've never failed me throughout all the crap I've put them through.
Comon, whats your problem with em? Post.

In short, Windows tends to be less stable (when's the last time YOU had your computer on for over 8 months solid, never needing to reboot?), with STUPID security holes that were designed to make it easier for MS to upgrade remote systems. But they never bothered with a way to allow end-users to turn it OFF. Hell, they don't even list some of the process threads. Which allows virii to 'hide' themselves more effectively.
As well, if there's a problem with a Linux machine, in some daemon or other, anyone with the knowledge can write a patch and kick it out. MS users have to wait for Microsoft to hand them a patch.
That and the fact that the combination of IE, OE, and ISS are the LEADING cause of virus and worm propogation. Oh, wait. Correction. It's that people are stupid. This is exemplified by their continued use of shoddy software that essentially gives them seven inches with no lube any time the latest infection vector comes out.
