    Well, personally for a traditional game, this works pretty well.


    1 ip, armory, arms lab, armor one, mines, all while capping nodes.


    Tech armor 1 as soon as you can.

    Tech to weapons 2 and start upgrading your armory (if you haven't already.)

    Obs/phase tech sometime inbetween the previous step.

    Start armor 2 or weapons 3, once again, this is depentand on many factors.

    Drop a proto and get your tech of choice.

    Finish teching.




    Also, drop your second IP somewhere along that time, when it's needed.





    Also, it's important to get your rine's out onto the map early on. Don't have them all "stick together at base" at the start, that's just a waste of time.

    Don't electrify anything, unless it's crucial (I.E. hive node [don't know how you pulled that one off] or a node close to their current hive.)

    Don't be afriad to drop ammo and health for your rines at the start, those 2-6 res you spend can hold you an area and thus, hold you a node. It's always worth keeping your rine's alive early on. (And at any time for that matter)



    Motion is nice... but it's not needed. A clever rine can use his ears and check hiding spots.
