You have been disconnected from the server.
Reason: Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket (server was unable to contact the authentication server, 31)

    I think it means Server 31's down, which is what you're trying to connect to. Restart your computer to connect to another one. But I'm and idiot, and you should ask on the Steam Forums.

    i've been having that same error for NS for the past couple of days now and it's annoying the hell out of me but sometimes i can still connect eventually for some reason.

    Just keep trying. It's just that the server busy.
    Also, you may need to close STEAM and restart. But it'll work.

    I have been getting this problem since the first release, the only way to fix it is to reboot.

    Is there anyway to change Steam Servers without rebooting? An option from within steam itself?

    i logged out then in and it worked again

    funny though, restarting steam didnt work the first time... but then again, it crashed <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    and steam forums wouldnt let me search.
