I think I speak for everyone when I say LucasArts should now die. What was once a bastion of fine PC gaming, they have become nothing but purveyors over priced, crappy games and worthless Star Wars games. The ONLY reason KOTOR was good was because it was developed by BioWare

eh ? Grim Fandango was released years ago. What a cracking point-and-click that was.

That'll teach me not to read posts.
I'll have to install it (if it'll run on Win2k) to sample that smoky atmosphere again. I'm sure it was point-and-click a la Monkey Island 3 and all that.
Death... painful fiery stabby glassy death.

Agreed, and might I add to that...

By the way, does anyone else find this whole "PCs are doomed!" hysteria as funny as me? Don't get me wrong, I loves my GC, but the only reason 2003 had so high console sales was that 2003 was, in the whole, a rather sucky year for commercial gaming - I mean, as nice as KOTOR and PoP were, the fact that we consider them the best things of a whole <i>year</i> should tell us something.
Looking at the 2004 lineup - including sure PC sellers such as HL2, UT2K4, Battlefield: Vietnam, WoW, and D3, plus a number of very, very probable hits - I'd say we're going to see a lot of publishers scream "Consoles are doomed!" by 2005.
Anyway, sorry for derailing the topic. My point was simply that Lucas Arts decision of cancelling Sam & Max 2 was apparently based on nothing but an incredibly short sighted market analysis, which only makes the whole affair more of a tradgedy.

Counter point
GC: Metroid Prime 2, Harvest Moon 2, TMNT, Legend of Zelda: four swords, Star fox 2, and the new Mario all comming out in '04
PS2: GTA: San Andreas exclusive November release.......
I realy liked the LucasArts adventure games. The Dig, Full trholte, Monkey Island, Grim fandango and so. This is a big mistake stoping the adventures games.
Lucasarts is becoming more similar with Electronic Arts nowadays. They just want to do some tinned crap to sell and win money. Tath is an error because nobody buys crap games. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->
LAE2: "Yeah I can see the logic in that. Too tell the truth, wiping your arse with 100 dollar bills does get kinda dull after a while..."
LAE3: "What say we make another Rogue Squadron game!?"
ALL: "BOOYAH"
FANS: "ACK! MEIN LEIBEN!"
Rabid Star Wars Nerds: "OMG ANOTHER ROGUE SQUADRON GAME! LUCAS ARTS ARE GOD! SCREENSHOTS I CAN ORGASM OVER! OMG IS THAT BOBA FETTS SLAVE 5?!?!!?@!#~"
Gabe Newell: "phhhhrrrttttttttttttttttttttthehehehehahahahahahahah<b>hahahahahah</b><span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'><b>BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA</b></span>"
I am the Weilder of the Sword of Snide Underhanded Sarcasm +10.

Let's don't confuse 'good games' and 'sure sellers'. Of your list, I'd argue that only Zelda, Star Fox, and GTA are in that category. Metroid Prime did for some obscene reason not very good at the cashiers, and the rest are 'underdoggy' games.
Also, there were good PC sellers last years, as well. I'm talking about which games will get all the press and market hype, and there, I can't really see the consoles winning.
I'm not even looking forward to it that much.... but yeah... bring on the whipper snap and crack on Dr.D's head....
