Co-op Games List On Multiple Platforms!

<div class="IPBDescription">I now retract all insults about AOLusers</div> Someone was smart enough to use webspace to list <a href='http://members.aol.com/shadowpanther/co-op.htm' target='_blank'>a shock-ton</a> of games on PC and console, the # of players supported for co-op mode, and their respective rankings from <a href='http://www.gamerankings.com/' target='_blank'>GameRankings.com</a>. It reminded me of quite a few games I'd forgotten had co-op (Baldur's Gate 2) and taught be of some that I had no idea had co-op (AvP2 after downloading a mod for it).

Awhile ago Coil mentioned that these weren't the only forums he visited, and we noticed he had a low post count on the other forum. Just on a whim, he had reset his own when it reached an arbitrarily high number.
Recently he reset it here. I just decided on a whim to follow his lead, Sirus "bonsai!" style.

AvP2 co-op isn't friendly at all. Bugs like whoa. Great idea, bad execution.

Really? I was just looking up some info about it. The latest one I can find seems to be 2.5, are you sure that it still has problems? (not including ones admitted in the readme -- I don't expect them to be able to change scripted events in every official SP map just to have 100% support)

I think I tried 2.5, a couple months back when I first beat AvP2, me an DuBERS tried to play a game, and we weren't impressed. I E-Mailed the auther asking if he's still working on it, after my first run through with the Mod, never got a reply.

Some of the bugs, you have to be together the whole trip. If you get to ahead of someone, the map hasen't been loaded and you can't advance. If you're somewhat far into the map, and someone dies, they respawn in the begining of the map, but nothing's loaded so you can't make your way back. After the map's finished, the server turns to an offline game and everyone connected's booted.

Um...ouch. Sounds as if I'll go to System Shock 2 for all my scare-me-into-needing-to-change-my-underwear co-op gaming needs.

It was originally planned for S.T.A.L.K.E.R to have Co-op. But in a reason dev chat, the devs admitted that they were not sure if they could get it working. Sadly.
