<div class="IPBDescription">Warcraft 3 Is Giving Me Hassles :(</div> Everytime I start up Warcraft 3 (patched or unpatched) the
screen flickers and I can't see anything. I have to press ESC
twice to exit the game altogether.
I download the video test tool from Blizzard and all the resolutions
up to 800*600 run fine. It's just when I hit 1024*768 (i've
tried both the OpenGL and DirectX options) I get the corruption.

It's pretty weird because I run ALL my games (except X2) in
1024*768 (32 bit colour).

My nVidia drivers are fine and all my Windows Updates are in place.

I'm running out of idea's for a fix.
Anyone got any sugestions?

System:
XP 2800 Processor (2.25ghz)
nVidia MSI GeForce FX 560 (256 DDR)
1 Gig of DDR (2100) Ram.
80 Gig Hard-Drive (57 free)
Soundblaster Live 5.1

    No-one can offer ANY advice what-so-ever? <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo--> Aww
    In that case... anyone want to buy a cheap, barely used
    copy (its an original) of Warcraft 3?

    Try running it in windowed mode and switch to that resolution in the game. Create a shortcut to the exe file, and put -window (i think thats the command) in the command line of the shortcut properties.

    Also, you can look around in the game directory and see if theres a "settings.ini" or "config.ini" or something along those lines. Resolution will probably be in there.

    OttoDestruct - Nice idea but I now get the distorted screen... in a window <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    Weggy - There's no user.ini config.cfg etc etc files either <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    The Blizzard forums are useless <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I think i'll sell it to pay for another month of PlanetSide.

    Find a forum asking people if they have problems with youre version of drivers and WCIII then or email their tech support. Or perhaps try reinstalling WCIII?

    In Windows XP, you can use the compatability settings to force it to run at 640*480 and /or 256 colours. Not a lot of help if you've not got Windows XP though.
