<div class="IPBDescription">A first attempt at mapping...</div>well ive been wanting map for loads of years but no games out there fueled my imagination and want to map as what ive seen of NS has, lets hope when it comes out it keeps it.

Well here is the layout for ns_midas, a facility on (insert planet name here) that produces rockets, both for ship use and missles.

Tell me what you think, suggestions more than welcome.  I do want to add more weldables but not sure where so suggestions on that is MUCH MUCH appreciated.

    Bit small, too cramped in alot of areas. Bad for r_speeds. You removed the "non-needed" double weldable doors and made them singe like I suggested. Maybe the top hive is too close to the marine spawn or the others are too far away. Either way nice map, if you decide to expand and make it bigger maybe add an extra floor or two?

    Angel, NS maps don't have more than one level, unless they aren't on top of each other.

    I might say that there is nowhere a Skulk can go that a skilful jetpack-equipped marine can't. So those jetpack tubes would be good for the marines to use as a shortcut to the north hive after the marines have researched jetpacks.

    Nice layout generally, though it's a bit haphazard with the room placing. That east hive looks a lot further from the MS than the other ones.

    Yeah the rooms are kinda thrown down here and there and i hope might come together better when i build the map.

    As for the farthest HIVE i did forget to place something.  I want to put a Underground rail that will take the marines from the large room just south of thier spawn to the room that is just below the east hive.

    [EDIT] I just looked at my layout and relize something, that lone JETPACK hall near middle map is pointless cause there is a perfectly walkable hallway just above it right to the last hive.  Im gonna need to do some serious over hall to make the tram more usfull as well as that jetpack hall. [EDIT]

    Hey there goat, I just wanted to add another point. Most resource nodes are too close to the alien hives or are will be too easily captured by the aliens due to where they are sationed. Alghough making the map bigger should sort it out
