<div class="IPBDescription">..make the best ones appear more often?</div> upon looking at the majority of the models in HLMV, ive noticed that most of the models have really awesome death animations, but we never get to see them, or if we do, its quite a rare occurance

is there anyway of making these "rare" death animations appear more often ?

for example, the lerk has got some great animations of falling through the air once its dead.. although we never seem to see it O_o

    i agree! if you allready noticed 3.0 marine models have reload animation in 3rd prerson! and you dont see them in game ... seeing marines reloading in 3rd person is something i allways wanted

    And is completely impossible unless coded,

    It's not impossible, then <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I also think the fall before playing the death animation would need some coding.

    gah! so it isnt something simple then like just changing the animation names so the nice ones have the names of the regular ones?

    No changing animations is simple, i was talking about the reload.

    There are a couple things you can do. First, you can re-compile the model and simply replace all the death animations with the one you like the best. Second, in the event that two animations are available for the same action (e.g. idle and idle2), they can be "weighted" in the QC file to be more or less likely to play.

    Regarding 3rd-person reloading: the animation has been included with the intention of adding functionality to the code eventually. They haven't had time to put it in yet.

    ok, so can someone be real kind and re-compile all the normal NS models with the death anims "weighted" all the same? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
