Spoilers Be Bad!

Spoilers make me a sad panda...
A few months ago I stumbled upon a spoiler that said how the anime series Rurouni Kenshin would end. I decided to not let it bother me and I didn't think about it much, but now I've just started watching it, and it just sucks donkey balls.

The point? How to enjoy something when you know how it ends? This must have happened to some of you...

Damn - the series ends ? That's completely spoiled it for me - I thought it would go on forever.

    Just kidding.

It is annoying when people post spoilers without marking them as such. Like: "At the end of the game when you finally meet *y* ... ". Thanks buddy.

I believe it was the Star Wars Episode I soundtrack that contained a track entitled "Qui-Gonn's Death" or something. Oh, thanks a lot, Mr. Williams! Just name a track after it, you jackass!

Could have been worse, though - could have released the Empire Strikes Back soundtrack before the movie released and had a track entitled, "Luke, Darth Vader is your Father and Han Solo is frozen in a big chunk of carbonite."

I've been a fan of the Ultima series for many years, and just recently someone told me what happens in Ultima 9 -- the horrible end to the series that I probably will never play, but still didn't want spoiled...

    False!
    Guns are good!
In fact, did you know that Jesus and Moses used guns to fend off the Romans?

I was a big fan of how Comprox completely gave away a critical plot point of Unreal 2 at one point. I mean, sure, it wasn't the best game ever, but I still enjoyed it and would have liked it a hell of a lot better if I hadn't seen that coming

If my friends are going to the cinema to see a film i've already seen, i make sure to go with them and point out every plot point about 10 seconds before it happens. I'm nice like that. Like the bit where the ship blows up at the start of some film or other, i counted down from 10 and they were all looking at me like i was crazy, then jumped out their chairs when it went "BEWM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111" and stuff went "Vrooom" past the camera.

Just recently I got the game KoTOR. I was talking to a guy and I told him how i just bought it and an really ejoying the game. Then he says oh, have you gotten past the leviathen yet, you know where you find out *********. Needless to say if made the game less enjoyable to know one of the major plot twists from the begining.

Some games/movies have integral plot points that really make the story shine, and ruining them ruins the game/movie. SW:KotOR has one, FF7 has one, MP2 has one (although, I've played all of those more than once, because they have fun points besides...if a game good because of the story twist, it's not a good game (and that statement contradicts itself...so?).

Then you have games like MGS, or CoD where no one will know what you're talking about for a plot point, unless they play it. You can say, "Remember when Sniper Wolf shoots that girl and later you go to the torture place?"...and no one will know exactly what you mean unless they've played the game. Those games rock.

Then you've got the intermediate ones, because you like the acting, or the plot without the big twists..I'm like that with most RE games (I've played all of them at least twice (...well RE1 was twice, the rest were around 6+).

If you want to ...unruin...your experiance, let the game/movie sit for a year or so, when you forget the more integral parts of the plot. The only way you're going to completely forget is if you get amnesia, but you can try to dull your memory (which is why I need to play FF7 again, haven't played it in like 2 years...).
