Mouse Troubles

<div class="IPBDescription">Help ?</div> Ever since Thursday my mouse has been acting up, it just suddenly dies as the red light *it's a optical mouse* goes out then i get this message. Anyone know what to do ?

    Is it wireless? If so, it might need new batteries. Try getting a USB to PS/2 converter and see if that fixes it.

    well it <i>could</i> be a problem with the usb port, try changing port.

    If it's wireless check the batteries. The mouse can also have a problem (damaged wiring) or something, try to check the end of the cable where the cable is soldered to the mouse.

    Not a wireless mouse *yet*
    So far the mouse doesn't seem to be damaged.

    i had same problem, sometimes i would get that error sometimes it would stop getting recognized and play a sound (di-di) than a few sec later it would get recognized again and play sound (di-do) which was real annoying while playing bcuz not only would it stop getting recognized it would mock me

    i ended up just getting new mouse which worked fine
