An Idea For Respawn Times.

So far in the beta weve had
Beta 1: Stupidly long respawn times in late game
Beta 2: Short respawn times that led to hour + games.
Beta 3: 1/4 of team spawning in waves, making aliens dominate due to spawn camping.
My suggestion is this. Every 14 seconds there is a wave of respawns. However, if you die, you must wait at LEAST 14 seconds to spawn. So basically if you were to die 7 seconds after a previous wave, you would have to wait the 7 seconds for the current wave to finish, plus the 14 seconds for the next wave, making your respawn time 21 seconds.
Now this will benefit greatly because, spawn times can be either be short at 15 seconds, or long at 28 seconds, its just luck of the time you die.
What this does is:
Provides a constant flow of people coming in
Will hinder spawn campers as if you kill everyone in a wave, they will all respawn in the wave after the next
Creates a median between people that liked the old spawns, and the people that liked the new spawns.
Gives marines and aliens enough time to damage cc or hive before the next spawn.

Besides, NOBODY wants to wait 28 seconds to spawn. If a group of rines kill a crapload of skulks in a rush, and it just so happens that they get 28 seconds to blast the hive, they'll kill it without breaking a sweat. GG!
Marines spawn 1 by 1 and the spawn is so cramped that one alien with focus can cover all spawn points, and keep them all dead.
All that the other 4 aliens have to do is make sure they kill off the remaining marines one by one. It doesn't have to be at the same time, because the first alien is covering the spawning and keeping them dead.
It used to be 45 seconds. And with Beta 2 it was 22-25 seconds...
Secondly, the marines would have to kill all those skulks in the 1 second after a wave, for them all to spawn in 28 seconds..
All my way does is create a random spawn time between 14-28 seconds that causes groups to spawn instead of individuals.
Have the marine spawn room protected by a few turrets, and have multiple ways into the CC room from it.
The aliens should spawn in more protected locations that can't be covered from a single point, eg having small walls, debries etc to cover them from the HMGer standing under the hive.
And make the spawning 1/4 the team +1
that +1 would make a lot of differnece in small games while still being good in large.
Remember, you SHOULD lose, but you should have fun doing so; spawining one at a time then getting killed isn't fun.
The worst thing about combat is that if one team has 6 players and the other has 5 the team with 6 wins every game everytime doesnt matter which map or which race you cant beat a team that larger than you and spawns quicker than you.
I hadn't scientifically examined it, but I had got the impression that the threshold you had to reach to spawn 2 at once was an 8 man teamsize. We still seemed to be spawning by 1s in 7 man teams, although I could be wrong.
the last few days ive seen way too many games decend into the following scenario;
marines move out as a group, slowly holding ground at choke points against the first few waves of aliens, rush to outside the hive, wait for the next wave and any other aliens whov lost their way, rush into the hive, gg.
[this works for aliens aswell, although admittedly requires more skill]
perhaps it was the intent that 4 good players in the enemies spawn room could easily win the game, but its frustrating as hell.
there needs to be some method to ensure at least a minimum number of players spawn togeather, otherwise the 'spawn camping' will continue.
and yes, i know spawn camping is pretty much the only way to win combat, but this spawn system makes it hell to endure.
