Quake 2 Engine Enhancements

Does anyone know of any good Quake 2 engines? All I got out of searching was Quake 2 ICE, which just adds some more light and some cheap lookin' stencil shadows. What I'm looking for is something along the lines of an overhaul, like one Quake engine I saw, had complete realtime lighting and shadows, and it looked like something out of Doom 3. If anyone knows anything about this, please post.

I dunno if there is a tenebrae like project for the Q2 engine, but I do know there are some who did stuff like added 32-bit color, shaders, and other modern features. There's also a few out there just to make base q2 look better.

Unfortunately I don't recall the name of any of them, so I guess I'm not helping you much. But they DO exist...

I use Q2MaX to play Gloom. Works pretty nice.
