Controlling the <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif' /><!--endemo--> takes a bit of practice. Don't just hold down the attack button, spamming bite is bad unless your in a group of marines where you surely won't miss. Bite has a range(quite short though).

In HL you have a lot of air controll so you can actually turn while in the air without loosing to much speed(you can even gain some speed). To do this strafe in the same direction you want to turn and then move the mouse quite gently in that direction(this is not obvious to everyone, it only seems that way if you have played Half-life or quake games for long enough).

Marines often run sideways slightly towards you and jump to try and confuse you, expect these sort of things(i.e. when you've played enough you can guess what they are trying to do or at least be prepared.).

Use a descent mouse sensitivity and settings, this helps ALOT. Find the one you like most and stick with it. I don't like mouse acceleration so I have "-noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -noforcemspd" in the steam shortcut. Using a quite low sensitivity and controlling big movements by turning at the elbow and small by turning at the wrist is what I like to do, this means you need quite a bit of room or you'll be picking the mouse up and moving it a lot.

Devour has a range, pressing up against marines does'nt work that well. Devour is aimed just like any gun, aim with the center of the screen at a marine and fire. Aiming roughly for the hip seems to work best for me.
